Course Description
Are you looking to optimize your processes, lower costs, and improve quality – all while reducing waste and increasing efficiency? What if you could combine the proven power of Six Sigma with the efficiency of Lean Management to achieve your goals? This course will equip you with the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt knowledge on the basis of practical cases, in order to master the typical project workflow and the respective statistical and efficiency analyses you need to succeed. It is aimed at scientists, engineers and technicians who would like to deepen their expertise in applying Lean Six Sigma tools effectively to real-world problems.
What Are You Going to Learn?
This training first gives a one-day “Introduction to the Lean Six Sigma Methodology” which addresses the DMAIC framework (Define - Measure - Analyse - Improve - Control) in detail. Then, you will develop your practical process analysis skills, exploring the key Lean and statistical tools and learning how to use them efficiently on the basis of many industrial case studies. Furthermore, hands-on exercises will allow you to apply your newly gained knowledge directly to solve typical problems from practice.
For this purpose, you will mainly use Excel and, when necessary, additional tools such as the user-friendly macros EasyStat. Besides, for Design of Experiments, a web-based software tool for effortless DoE (STAVEX) will be used. The latter tools are provided at no cost for the duration of the course and the following four weeks, the Excel macros even for twelve months.
Upon successful completion of the final exam, you will receive the “Lean Six Sigma Green Belt” certificate. The training fee includes the final examination, its detailed correction, and the certificate.
Who Should Attend?
Engineers, scientists and technicians from development, process technology, production or quality
No previous knowledge of statistics or flow organization necessary, basic knowledge of Excel is an advantage.
Course Fees
- CHF 795.- per day + 8.1% VAT (incl. course documents and individual participant coaching during the practical exercises) for online courses
