Course Description
Are you working in production, quality assurance or a related field? This course will provide you with an overview of statistical techniques for controlling quality, as well as monitoring, improving and validating production processes. It is ideal for technicians and engineers with elementary statistical knowledge (e.g. at the level of "Visualization of Lab Data with Excel").
What Are You Going to Learn?
This course explains how to control efficiently the quality of raw materials and finished products, determine whether a process is under statistical control, detect deviations from target values, and assess process capability. It covers a variety of key techniques including sampling plans, control charts, CUSUM charts, and capability indices. These methods are essential in development and production (GMP) for the early detection of quality deviations and for documentation of process history (e.g. Annual Product Review). The course emphasizes practical application through exercises and software demonstrations using Excel, with minimal mathematical formalism.
Who Should Attend?
Mainly technicians involved in production and quality assurance
Elementary statistical knowledge is necessary (as provided in “Visualization of Lab Data with Excel”)
