Course Description
Do you want to ensure that your processes are least sensitive to parameter variations, but their outcomes nevertheless close to given target values? Do you also want to achieve this at minimal cost and as quickly as possible? This course will introduce you to Taguchi experimental design methods to optimize processes and products so as to best combine robustness and quality. It is aimed at engineers and scientists who work in development and quality assurance and who already have basic statistical knowledge (as provided in “Visualization of Lab Data with Excel”).
What Are You Going to Learn?
This course provides a comprehensive refresher on Design of Experiments (DoE) and a deep dive into Taguchi innovative experimental design methods which have many successful applications, for instance in the chemical, pharmaceutical, food, car, and electronics industry. The modern ideas of Robust Engineering are also treated. In the last part of the course, you will have the possibility to present and discuss your own problem settings if you wish.
Who Should Attend?
Scientists, engineers and quality managers in development, production or quality assurance
Elementary statistical knowledge is necessary (as provided in “Visualization of Lab Data with Excel”). Previous knowledge of experimental design techniques is not required but can be advantageous.
