Course Description
Are you interested in analysing large, multivariate data sets to ensure that you are not overlooking any valuable hidden insights? This one-day course will provide you with an overview of the key techniques in multivariate data analysis. It is aimed at scientists and engineers who wish to extend their statistical know-how with cutting-edge methods for complex data analysis.
What Are You Going to Learn?
The course first addresses various graphical tools and then focuses on numerical methods. You will learn to know the central techniques of multivariate statistics and how to apply them to uncover meaningful patterns in your data. The methods presented allow for a quick discovery and clear interpretation of relationships between variables. The discussion be illustrated using real examples from the chemical and pharmaceutical industry (e.g. from quality control and spectrometry) in the framework of software-based demonstrations and exercises.
Who Should Attend?
Everyone who wants to analyse (large) multivariate data sets.
Elementary knowledge of statistics is assumed (as provided in “Visualization of Lab Data with Excel”).
