  • Purpose

We use the data we collect to maintain our relationship with our customers and those interested in our services for example, to design our newsletter, to further develop our website and adapt it to new needs, and to offer them relevant information and services.

  • Analysis Tools / Digital Marketing

We use modern, advanced analytics methods and tools to understand user behavior on our website. This information helps us continuously improve our offerings and provide targeted, relevant services and information. To this end, we generally use only data that has been anonymized and does not allow for the identification of users.

Below, we outline the analytics services and technologies we use for these purposes. We also explain how you can prevent these services from tracking your usage behavior on our website.

Our website uses tools and features from third-party providers that are designed to collect data about how users interact with the website and to analyze this data statistically. These insights allow us to provide users of other online services (such as Google or Meta) with targeted, relevant information and advertising. These include Google Analytics 4, Google Ads, and Meta.

These services use cookies, tags, and tracking pixels for their respective purposes. Cookies are small pieces of code stored on the user’s device that enable, for example, user identification, the saving of user settings on a website, and the management of a session or login. They also allow for the collection and analysis of the user’s visits and interactions across various web services and the transmission of this data to the web server. Tags are short pieces of code embedded in websites and mobile applications to notify a server whether a user has performed a specific action (such as clicking a button). Pixel tags (or web beacons) are tiny image files embedded in websites or emails that allow us to track when they are accessed.

Google Analytics 4 is an analytics tool that statistically processes data regarding how users interact with our website. It sends information about page views and user actions (e.g., the duration, sequence, and URLs of visits and page views; the page from which the user came; and information about the device, operating system, browser, and settings used, as well as the approximate location) to Google’s servers. It uses cookies and similar technologies, such as so-called tracking pixels, to recognize users and associate their various actions and visits across different devices and sessions; this is done using anonymous identifiers, such as random identification numbers. No personal data is transmitted to Google; IP addresses, which are used for geographic location, are “masked” (truncated by certain digits) beforehand. Google provides further details in its privacy policy.

You can disable Google Analytics for your browser using an add-on.

  • Google Ads Conversions

Google Ads Conversions allow us to determine how clicks on ads or information on Google platforms effectively lead to transactions and similar user actions on our site. These features use temporary cookies from Google and do not process individual user data. You can opt out of the use of these cookies by using the options provided by Google or by adjusting your browser settings accordingly.

  • Google Dynamic Remarketing

We use Google Dynamic Remarketing to create compile groups and lists of users and website visitors based on criteria such as specific activities or existing data sets (e.g., newsletter subscribers) so that we can offer them information and advertisements for our services and content on Google’s services that are tailored to their interests and preferences. Google also uses cookies for this purpose. You can opt out of the use of these cookies specifically for advertising on Google services and those of several other providers (listed on the Digital Advertising Alliance).

  • Google Tag Manager

We use Google Tag Manager, a tool for integrating tags into our website. When incoming HTTP requests are received, it records the IP address and stores it temporarily so that we can correct any errors in the integration.
